She later joined PartnerRe’s New Solutions division in 2002, followed by roles at Willis Re and Willis Capital Markets & Advisory in 2004.

Samir Shah, the Co-founder & CEO of Ledger Investing, expressed his enthusiasm about Stern joining the company. He highlighted Stern’s extensive experience as a reinsurance buyer, seller, and broker, noting that she brings valuable knowledge and expertise to the team. Shah also mentioned that Stern’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Ledger as they approach $2 billion in casualty premium placed with their ILS investors.
