York Handmade Brick Company, based in Alne, near Easingwold, North Yorkshire, has recently secured a significant contract worth £180,000 for the construction project at 25 Baker Street in London’s West End. This reputable brickmaker has supplied 200,000 blocks for this development, which will feature a 200,000 square foot office space, 42 apartments, ten affordable units, retail space, and a public arcade.

David Armitage, the chair of York Handmade Brick Company, expressed the importance of this commission, stating that Baker Street is a renowned location in London and 25 Baker Street is a landmark development. He highlighted the company’s extensive involvement in reshaping the architectural landscape of England’s capital city over the past decade, having contributed to notable projects such as Lancer Square, Cadence, the Shard, London Bridge Station, and London Bridge Place.
