Consumption Tosfrit brand worms and popcorn withdrawn from the market because they contain ingredients not mentioned on the label

Health authorities are verifying the withdrawal from the market of several batches of Tosfrit brand corn “snakcs” (popcorn and “worms”) for containing milk protein and lactose when the label details that it does not contain them.

Specifically, it affects about twenty batches of various weights that contain “little speckled worms” of corn, butter-flavored popcorn or ketchup-flavored popcorn, as detailed by the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan) after receiving a notification from Castilla. The Mancha.

However, the product has been distributed in Andalusia, Murcia, Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Basque Country, Madrid, Extremadura, Navarra and Balearic Islands.

The company has already contacted its customers to withdraw the product. As a precautionary measure, people who are allergic or intolerant to milk components that may be present in the product are recommended to refrain from consuming it while its intake does not pose any risk to the rest of the population.
