Embraer Invests $70 Million in New MRO Facilities in Texas, USA

Embraer, the aerospace company, has announced a significant investment into expanding its maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services in the United States. The new service center will be located at Perot Field Alliance Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, and is part of an effort to support the growing number of E-Jets in the region.

In collaboration with local authorities such as the City of Fort Worth, Denton County, and the State of Texas, Embraer plans to start operations in an existing hangar by the second quarter of 2025. Additionally, a new hangar is expected to be constructed and completed by 2027 to further enhance Embraer’s capacity to serve E-Jets customers, increasing its capabilities by 53%.

The total investment for these new facilities is estimated to be around $70 million and is projected to create approximately 250 new aviation jobs in Texas. This development signifies Embraer’s commitment to expanding its presence in the US market and providing essential services to its customers.

Carlos Naufel, the President, and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion, highlighting the importance of the investment in the MRO business and its contribution to the US market. The partnership with the State of Texas and Hillwood at Alliance is seen as a significant step towards creating skilled job opportunities in the aviation industry.

The establishment of the new service center in Fort Worth will add to Embraer’s extensive global network, which currently consists of 80 authorized centers and 12 owned service centers worldwide. This expansion reflects Embraer’s dedication to providing top-notch services to its customers and strengthening its position in the aerospace industry.
