Free Bus Tickets: 10,000 Available for Use in Hertfordshire

news-12102024-070549

Ten thousand free bus tickets are up for grabs in Hertfordshire, courtesy of the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP) funding. These tickets allow both residents and visitors to explore the beautiful county with the new Intalink Connect ticket, which offers an All Zone Daily Ticket for unlimited travel throughout the day.

Intalink Connect provides a convenient and flexible way to travel on buses operated by multiple companies. Hertfordshire is divided into 14 zones, and passengers can purchase tickets for travel within a single zone, two adjacent zones, or even across all zones, including destinations beyond the county borders.

To claim a free bus ticket, all you need to do is download the Intalink app and use the discount code CATCHBUS24. Each Intalink app account is eligible for one free ticket only, so make sure to grab yours before they run out.

Thanks to the £29.7 million BSIP fund, Hertfordshire’s bus network has seen significant improvements, such as the introduction of new services and more frequent buses. One exciting initiative launched under this funding is the HertsLynx on-demand service, which operates in the East and North Herts as well as Dacorum districts, providing a convenient transportation option for residents.

Cllr Phil Bibby, the executive member for highways and transport at Herts County Council, expressed his enthusiasm for the free bus ticket offer, stating that it gives all residents a chance to experience the improvements being made to the bus network. The goal is to make bus travel more convenient and accessible, aligning with the council’s vision of a cleaner, greener, and healthier county.
