In Ile-de-France, the A6b motorway closed in both directions after a fire in the Bicêtre tunnel

The A6b motorway, in the south of Paris, was closed on Friday May 3 in both directions of traffic between Porte d’Italie and L’Haÿ-les-Roses, following a fire in the Bicêtre tunnel , announced the Ile-de-France roads department (DiRIF). The organization specified that this section will remain closed for “an indefinite period”.

Firefighters told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that the damage was caused by a bus which caught fire, without being able to give more details on the causes of the fire. One person was slightly injured and treated by firefighters, they added.

Traffic is cut between Porte d’Italie and Cachan in the Paris-province direction and between L’Haÿ-les-Roses and Porte d’Italie in the province-Paris direction, specifies the DiRIF Sytadin traffic application .

Reopening of the A13 from May 11

This motorway closure, which causes significant traffic disruptions according to Sytadin, is in addition to that of the A13, closed since April 18, in the west of Paris, between Vaucresson (Hauts-de-Seine) and Paris. This will gradually reopen “in the province-Paris direction” from Saturday May 11, the prefect of Hauts-de-Seine, Laurent Hottiaux, announced on Monday.

This reopening will nevertheless be reserved “for light vehicles only, provided that all safety conditions are met”, specified the prefecture in a press release.
