Microsoft misses expectations: Google numbers provide relief

Although the Google parent company Alphabet recorded increasing revenues in the second quarter of 2022, it earned less and thus remained in line with what analysts had forecast. Microsoft’s figures, on the other hand, are below expectations.

Google parent Alphabet is braving the global economic slowdown. In the second quarter, currency-adjusted revenues climbed 16 percent to almost $69.7 billion, as the US technology group announced. In contrast to Microsoft, Alphabet almost came close to the expectations of analysts.
