news-03112024-182152

Tudor has recently released a new Pelagos FXD GMT watch, inspired by the French Naval special forces unit Commando Hubert. This watch was originally designed for underwater navigation and buddy diving, but has now evolved into a GMT version built for the rigors of the Aéronautique Navale.

The Pelagos FXD GMT features a Grade 2 titanium case with a matte black dial, beige applied indices, an orange GMT hand, and red accents. The bezel is also made of titanium with a ceramic bi-directional GMT insert. The caseback is engraved with “M.N.24,” a reference to the original military-issued Tudors.

Inside the watch is the Manufacture Calibre MT5652-U automatic “flyer” GMT movement with 65 hours of power reserve and an independent jumping hour GMT hand. The watch comes with a “flight-suit green” fabric strap and a grade 2 titanium pin buckle. It is priced at $4,625 and is not a limited edition.

Many were expecting a titanium version of the FXD Chrono platform, but the Pelagos FXD GMT offers a more versatile tool for all team members. The watch has received positive feedback for its design and functionality, with many eager to add it to their collection.

Overall, the Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT is a robust and reliable watch that pays homage to its military roots while offering modern features for everyday wear. With its durable construction and GMT function, it is a practical timepiece for both professional use and casual wear.
