The US Army wants to replace its truck fleet with up to 40,000 trucks with the program called Common Tactical Truck. The entire program is valued at up to $14 billion. Rheinmetall and its partner want to offer the HX3, which is based on commercial vehicles from MAN. According to the company, the HX family is in use by a number of NATO countries and US allies. Rheinmetall teamed up with GM Defense for the project last year.

Rheinmetall also announced that it had received an order from Finland for Spike anti-tank guided missiles via a subsidiary and other partners. Rheinmetall accounts for a share in the mid double-digit million range. In the Bundeswehr, a variant of the system called Mellis is in use and acts as the successor to the Milan anti-tank guided missile. According to the Bundeswehr, the system can be fired from a tripod on the ground, from vehicles or from helicopters. Among other things, it is integrated into the Puma infantry fighting vehicle.
