This trial includes the latest FSD update, version 12.5.4.1, which includes features like Actually Smart Summon and hands-free driver monitoring with sunglasses support. This trial is being offered to both new customers and those who previously had the FSD trial back in April.
Customers will receive an email from Tesla offering them a 30-day complimentary trial of FSD. Once the trial is activated, users will receive a notification in their cars prompting them to enable the new feature in the Autopilot settings. It’s important to note that while the trial is free, users must still stay vigilant and monitor the vehicle closely as FSD is designed to assist the driver, not replace them.
For those who already subscribe to FSD, Tesla will skip a month of payment after the trial ends, essentially giving them a free month of FSD. However, if you already own FSD for the life of your vehicle, you will not be eligible for the trial. The trial will be automatically enabled in the vehicle once the email notification is received, and users cannot postpone the trial start date.
Additionally, Tesla has rolled out a new navigation voice for its newer vehicles, featuring a faster and more natural-sounding voice for navigation guidance. Users have reported that resetting their vehicle settings can also update the navigation voice to the new version. While most settings are saved to the Tesla profile in the cloud, some settings like browser bookmarks and trip meters may be lost during a factory reset.
In exciting news, SpaceX has released a game called STARSHIP – The Game, which allows players to pilot the Superheavy Booster as it launches Starship to Mars. The game is playable on web browsers, phones, and even in Tesla vehicles.
