Vestas secures a 72 MW wind turbine order in Germany

Vestas, a global leader in sustainable energy solutions, has recently announced that they have secured a 72 MW order from Denker & Wulf AG for the wind energy project Holtsee in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The order includes the delivery of ten V162-7.2 MW wind turbines, as well as the supply and commissioning of the turbines.

Sulai Fahimi, Vice President Sales Central at Vestas, highlighted the efficiency of their EnVentus platform, stating that the V162-7.2 MW turbines are the perfect fit for the site, offering high annual production and excellent cost of energy for the customer. The collaboration with Denker & Wulf AG, one of the largest project developers in the German market, is expected to be successful.

Denker & Wulf AG’s CEO, Torsten Levsen, emphasized the importance of new and efficient technologies in meeting the challenges of the growing wind energy market. He praised Vestas’ EnVentus platform for its ability to address economic challenges with technical excellence.

Vestas will also provide service for the turbines under a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement to ensure optimal performance. Turbine delivery is set to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025, with commissioning expected to be completed in the first half of 2026.
