Bethlehem preschoolers get lesson in helping others

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Bethlehem recently organized a “Souper Bowl” food drive to support Second Harvest Food Bank.

Students were tasked with collecting canned goods and decorating their classroom’s door to reflect their prediction for the winner of the big game. Over the course of the drive, students collected more than 400 nonperishable food items, and the classes that collected the most cans and picked the correct winner of the big game were recognized.

Second Harvest Food Bank reduces hunger by distributing donated food to area nonprofits in Lehigh Valley and Northeast Pennsylvania. For more information, visit shfblv.org.
