Stainer has been serving as the president and CEO of Universal Music Group’s Global Classics and Jazz division for the past decade, splitting his time between London and New York. He has been instrumental in overseeing the classics and jazz sector on a global scale, as well as being involved in significant deal-making activities following the acquisition of the Hyperion label.
