A 13-year-old died in Hamburg after jumping into the Elbe. According to the police, the non-swimmer jumped into the water at the Teufelsbrück ferry terminal on Saturday and went under. According to a police spokesman, the youth was in the water for at least half an hour before rescue workers found him and tried to revive him. The injured man was then taken to a hospital unconscious. He died there on Sunday night, police said.

It was initially unclear why the boy jumped into the water. A police spokesman said on Sunday that the 13-year-old had been in a group but had not been pushed or pushed. He jumped from the ferry dock to the area between the jetty and land. Several young people from the group jumped after them and tried to save the 13-year-old. According to the police, they had to be cared for by pastors.
