‘Incorporated’ Canceled Or Renewed For Season 2? Series Star Eddie Ramos Reacts To The Show’s Fate

Syfy has canceled “Incorporated” after one season.

A few hours after Deadline broke the news that the show won’t be returning for Season 2, series star Eddie Ramos took to Instagram to address the cancellation.

In a lengthy post, Ramos expressed his sadness over the show’s fate, noting that television is such a fickle business. Although he admitted that he knows nothing about keeping a show in the network and executive level, Ramos wrote that he did his best to give the viewers a “kickass” show and portray his character, Theo, as real as possible.

Ramos also wrote that he’s going to miss the people he met in Toronto where they filmed the first season of the show. At the end of his post, the young actor thanked the cast and crew as well as the show’s producers and the network for believing in his talent and giving him an opportunity to shine.

The “Teen Wolf” alum revealed that he’s already working on a new project and is excited to see what the future has in store for him.

“Incorporated,” which was executive produced by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Ted Humphrey and Jennifer Todd, was set in a dystopian Milwaukee in the year 2074 when many countries have gone bankrupt. It follows the story of Ben Larson (Sean Teale), a young executive who assumes a completely different identity to infiltrate a very dangerous corporate world to save the woman (Denyse Tontz) he loves. In addition to Ramos, Teale and Tontz, the series also starred Allison Miller, Julia Ormond and Dennis Haysbert, who was already cast as the male lead of the drama pilot “Reverie” for NBC.

Although the series was lauded by critics and viewers alike, it ranked below most other Syfy series such as “The Magicians,” “Z Nation” and “The Expanse” in the ratings game. According to Variety, “Incorporated” averaged a Live+Same Day audience of less than 500,000 and a 0.16 in the 18-49 demographic, with delayed viewing not doubling those base numbers.
