Lady Gaga to headline Coachella 2017, replacing Beyonce

It’s official, Lady Gaga will replace Beyonce at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

The deal comes just under a week after Beyonce announced she had to back out of headlining the 2017 festival because of her pregnancy. She planned to return to headline Coachella in 2018.

Gaga, who headlined the halftime show at the Super Bowl earlier in February, planned a world tour around her new album “Joanne” to start later this year.

Tickets are sold out for the 2017 festival, which takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio April 14-16 and April 21-23. On Tuesday evening, Coachella updated the lineup poster on its website, removing Beyonce and adding Lady Gaga to the top spot on Saturday.

Other headliners are Radiohead on the Friday and Kendrick Lamar on Sunday. Notable performers include Father John misty, Future, DJ Khaled, Lorde and more.
