Latina is the first Victoria's Secret model to have Down syndrome.

Sofia Jirau, who was one of 17 women involved in the launch of Victoria’s Secret’s new campaign, has become history as the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome.

After the launch of the Love Cloud Collection, an underwear line, the Puerto Rican model turned 24 years old celebrated the milestone with her family.

It was a dream that I had one day, and I have been working hard to make it a reality. Jirau posted her Instagram profile in Spanish. “I am the first Victoria’s Secret model to have Down syndrome!”

She is also the second Puerto Rican model to be featured in a Victoria’s Secret campaign.

Jirau’s charismatic personality and infectious personality have made her a successful model since she launched her career in Puerto Rico in 2019.

One year later, she achieved her dream of appearing at New York Fashion Week. According to her website , “for which, I am proud as one the few models with Down syndrome that has managed to participate in this important fashion event,”.

Jirau also launched ” no Limits“, a Spanish-language campaign, to show that people with Down syndrome can achieve their goals regardless of their condition.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Down syndrome refers to a condition where a person’s extra chromosome is present. This can lead to changes in how the body and brain develops, which can create mental and physical challenges.

Victoria’s Secret, thank you for accepting me as a #NoLimits model and making me part in the inclusive Love Cloud Collection campaign,” Jirau posted on Instagram. Alavett, “Inside and outside, there are no limitations!”

The company is trying to distance itself from the iconic images of Victoria’s Secret angels and so she joins them as a lingerie and clothing giant.

This is the first collection launch by the company since Raul Martinez became its head creative director in January.

The launch of the Love Cloud Collection marks a significant moment in the brand’s history. Martinez stated that the campaign was an important part in the creation of the new Victoria’s Secret standard.

Jirau posted a clip of the campaign to Instagram just before the collection hits shops Thursday. It was captioned “Hit Play so the whole world can see my make history.”

Jirau in Spanish said that she can be seen wearing a bra in her favorite color, pink. It’s my favorite color, it’s mine. Victoria’s Secret is my favorite!
