Mediaset Television officially informs María Patiño that she will not continue presenting Socialité

The end of the year brings even more news in the halls of Mediaset. If the previous season ended with the end of Sálvame as the flagship of a way of doing things that they wanted to leave behind, the start after the summer was no less eventful. The CEO of Mediaset España, Alessandro Salem, defined a “new Telecinco”, more “white and familiar”, sent the queen of the mornings Ana Rosa Quintana to the afternoon and put Jorge Javier Vázquez to compete with Pablo Motos. The latter would not turn out well and the Chinese Tales magazine would last 10 installments.

Last week the chronicle of an announced breakup was confirmed: La Fábrica de la Tele, producer behind the extinct Sálvame and Cuentos Chinos, among others, and Mediaset broke their corporate relationship after 17 years. A few days later, Adrián Madrid and Óscar Cornejo would announce that they were definitively closing the production company. Three programs remain on the air on the Telecinco and Cuatro grid: Socialité, Todo es Mentira and Viajando con Chester.

The three formats are looking for a production company to fill the gap left by La Fábrica, and at the moment the only one that seems to have found accommodation is Socialité, which would pass into the hands of Fénix Media, the product of Christian Gálvez, although there is still no confirmation official. As for Everything is a Lie and Traveling through Chester, 20 minutes published that Mediaset had offered Risto Mejide, host of both programs, to take charge of the production, but there is still no response – at least, public – to the offer.

While Risto has a network contract, and therefore will be able to continue as presenter without problem, the continuity of María Patiño and Nuria Marín was up in the air given the latest changes. This Friday the future of the former was confirmed: Mediaset has officially informed María Patiño that she will not continue as head of Socialité. As VerTele has advanced and EL MUNDO has been able to confirm, the audiovisual group has informed the presenter that her contract ends on December 31 and will not be renewed.

As for the face that will replace Patiño in the new stage of the program, at the moment there are only rumors. The strongest points out that María Verdoy, host of the Rediséñame and Fiesta en Verano spaces. However, there is no official communication in this regard.

As soon as the news was published, Patiño herself confirmed in X that she is leaving, although with an enigmatic message that leaves the door open to new projects: “I don’t want goodbyes because I don’t have to say goodbye.” Already on Thursday night she published another mysterious message: “Without moving a piece, chess is life.”
