Oscars 2017: Complete list of nominees

“La La Land” from New Jersey director Damien Chazelle could become the winningest film in Oscar history at the 2017 Academy Awards Sunday. The musical earned 14 nominations, the most of any film this year and a record in itself matched only by “Titanic” and “All About Eve.”

“Moonlight” and “Manchester by the Sea” entered the awards season with major Oscar buzz, but “La La Land” picked up the top trophy at the Golden Globes, Critics Choice Awards, the BAFTAs and the Producers Guild Awards. “Moonlight” and “Arrival” earned eight nods apiece, although “Arrival” was the only film up for best picture that failed to net any nominations for its actors.
