In anticipation of the upcoming episodes, six new photos have been released, giving fans a glimpse of Claire, Jamie, and the gang returning to Scotland for the first time since Season 3. The story picks up after the events of the first half of Season 7, with Claire, Jamie, and Young Ian leaving the colonies and returning to Scotland. The love that binds them together is tested across oceans and centuries, raising the question of whether the MacKenzies and Frasers can find their way back to each other.

In addition to the main cast members like Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heughan, the series also includes actors like David Berry, Charles Vandervaart, Izzy Meikle-Small, and Joey Phillips. The show is based on Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling book series.

On the prequel front, Starz is giving fans a sneak peek into the early lives of Claire’s and Jamie’s parents in 18th-century Scotland. The upcoming series, “Outlander: Blood of My Blood,” will delve into the love stories of Claire’s parents, Julia Moriston and Henry Beauchamp, as well as Jamie’s parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser. The parallel stories set in different time periods promise to offer a unique perspective on the Outlander universe.

With Matthew B Roberts as the showrunner and executive producer, the series is in good hands. The prequel is currently in production in Scotland and is scheduled to air in 2025.
