Platforms 3Cat, TV3's 'Netflix' in Catalan bursts into the Spanish audiovisual panorama in its first month

According to the audience report for VOD (video on demand) and OTT (internet television or radio) platforms prepared by the consulting firm Dos30, the TV3 platform accumulates 4.1% and occupies position 16 in Spain. And that, taking into account that the report analyzes data from October, and 3Cat was released on the 30th, that is, it only includes two days of initial registrations.

According to Dos30 data, which covers the information opacity of the platforms, which never reveal their user or audience data, Prime Video has accumulated nine consecutive months of leadership in Spain. For its part, Netflix once again occupies second place with a 71.5% market share and is growing for the second consecutive month. It is the preferred option for women and the young population: from 16 to 29 years old.

Disney also grows, third in the monthly ranking with a 41.3% market share. The fourth position once again goes to HBO Max, which remains at a 34.4% share, identical to that of September.

Season 3 of Lupine has been the most watched on platforms in the month of October, with more than 4.1 million unique viewers on Netflix. The Burning Body, which dominated last month as one of Netflix’s biggest hits, with more than 5.2 million viewers, remains in second position in October and still accumulates 3.8 million unique viewers. In Disney .

The Dos30 data makes it clear that the platforms are the preferred space for viewers to watch series. Not so much for watching shows. Broncano’s La Resistencia on Movistar Plus remains the most watched program for another month and is the only one capable of exceeding one million unique viewers. It is followed by the culinary talent of TVE Masterchef Celebrity’, which in October reached 851,000 unique viewers on RTVE Play. Closing the top 3 is the Movistar Plus program Ilustres ignorantes, with more than 640,000 viewers.
