Television The reason why RTVE has returned Cover Night to Thursday

RTVE has decided to change the broadcast day of Cover Night for the second time. The ‘talent show’ was one of La 1’s great entertainment bets for 2023, but it has garnered poor audience figures.

The music program premiered on Thursday, March 2 in ‘prime time’ and achieved an 11.9% audience share. However, a week later his second gala dropped to 6.5%. The public entity then opted to move the production to Saturday nights. Viewers were able to enjoy new galas on March 18, March 25, April 1, and April 8.

RTVE has relocated Cover Night and has opted again to broadcast the space on Thursday nights, but with a different schedule. The programming of La 1 indicates that its seventh installment can be seen on April 13 from 11:10 p.m., after a chapter of the series La Caza. Guadiana, and will last until 1:45 p.m.

The reason for this movement seems to be that Saturday April 15 is the date chosen for two major premieres in ‘prime time’ on competing channels. The eighth edition of La Voz Kids will start on Antena 3 that day. In addition, Telecinco has confirmed that it will offer Got Talent: All-Stars in the same slot.

Therefore, La 1 has preferred to reissue a single episode of La Caza. Guadiana a week and place Cover Night below. The series and the program will coincide on Thursday, April 13, with a new gala of Survivientes 2023 on Telecinco and with the open premiere of Heridas, fiction by Atresplayer Premium that reaches Antena 3.

Cover Night is a musical ‘talent show’ that tries to find the best cover singer in Spain among its contestants. Ruth Lorenzo leads this format that has a jury made up of Miguel Bosé, Mónica Naranjo, Chanel Terrero and Juan Magán. In addition, the space has Ana Guerra and Abraham Mateo to show everything that happens behind the scenes.
