The Prosecutor’s office extended for another six months the investigation of the OPE of Osakidetza

The Prosecutor’s office of the Superior Court of Justice of the Basque Country has been extended six months beyond the phase of preliminary proceedings to investigate if there were irregularities in the testing of 19 medical specialties of the OPE of Osakidetza in the trade unions to ensure that leaked exams.

The legal deadline to carry out these investigations is of half a year from the union COMMONWEALTH, the first of the four to do so, took the case to court last June.

Sources of the office of the Prosecutor basque have explained today that it has applied to the state for an extension of six months to carry out this task, given the high volume of documents and testimonies that are being collected, a request that has been accepted.

So, the period of research to determine whether or not there was a crime is extended for a year, and from that moment decide whether to go forward with the case, or it is archived.
