The weather week in a quick check: Golden October remains on record course

The heating can run on the back burner, because late summer is knocking on the door again at the end of October. With up to 25 degrees, temperatures will peak in the new week. The onset of winter is not in sight.

After the warm autumn weekend, the end of the month is clearly too warm. With temperatures that will be around 6 degrees higher on average in the coming week than last year, the back burner on the heaters will be enough. Due to a strong southerly current, Sahara dust will also become an issue again. And even a summer day is possible here and there. But one after anonther:

Monday: It starts off very mild

With lows between 10 and 16 degrees, the Monday night will be very warm for an October 24th. We can expect widespread showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder and lightning.

During the day it remains quite gray in the south with thundery downpours. Here some Sahara dust mixes with the rain. In the west, strong winds will bring isolated showers in the afternoon. The northeast is friendly and dry. In Berlin, up to 22 degrees are reached. At least up to 16 degrees on the gray edge of the Alps.

Tuesday: The view of a partial solar eclipse

At midday, it is worth looking towards the sun, especially over the south and east of Germany. The partial solar eclipse should be visible here. Otherwise, the clouds are often quite dense, especially in the north. A little rain is also possible here. Otherwise the day will remain mostly dry. The whole thing at 14 degrees on the Baltic Sea and up to 22 degrees in the southwest.

Wednesday: Summer air within reach

Warm Mediterranean air often causes temperatures in the south and across the broad center to rise to over 20 degrees on Wednesday. On the Upper Rhine even up to 24 degrees. From Lower Saxony to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it stays a little cooler under thicker clouds and there is a little rain at times.

Thursday: Late summer says hello

Thursday promises mostly dry weather. There should be a lot of blue in the sky, especially over the south. However, Sahara dust can also become a minor issue here. The temperatures continue to rise and often reach a summery 25 degrees on the Upper Rhine. Sometimes more. A good 22 degrees are reached in the west. With 19 degrees, Hamburg should only just miss the 20 degrees. The coolest thing is the Baltic Sea with around 15 degrees.

Friday: It gets even warmer

At least a bit. Because in Germany as a whole, Friday will probably be the warmest day of the weather week. The maximum values ??often arrive in the north at or above the 20-degree mark. In the southwest, the summer mark of 25 degrees is still on the agenda. Overall, the cloudy proportions will increase somewhat. Local showers and thunderstorms are possible in the northwest.

The weekend: Autumn looks different

Saturday remains friendly in the south and east away from fog. In the north and west it becomes increasingly changeable. Temperatures are dropping a bit but still reaching far too mild 17 to 23 degrees.

It has not yet been clarified whether high pressure will prevail again on Sunday with friendly weather or if we expect more showers from the Atlantic. But one thing is for sure: It won’t be cool or even cold for the time being.
