Because of the Corona pandemic: Coachella-Festival cancelled

The California-based Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, in short, Coachella, falls in this year. As the health authorities of the County of Riverside reported on Wednesday, had been canceled for the fall event planned because of the risk of infection with the Coronavirus. Because of the pandemic, the annual music festival had been postponed in the beginning of April to October. “We fear, however, that Covid-19 is in the autumn worse,” said Cameron Kaiser, a spokesman for the health authorities in Riverside County East of Los Angeles.

The multi-day Festival, which takes place since 1999 in Indio in the California desert, is visited every day by an average of approximately 100,000 Fans.
