Rapper Booba was questioned on Monday October 2 by an investigating judge and indicted for cyberharassment against influencer Magali Berdah, Le Monde learned, confirming information from Agence France-Presse (AFP) .
This indictment follows numerous complaints from the 41-year-old businesswoman and founder of Shauna Events, an agency specializing in relationships between television personalities and major brands. The artist defends himself, presenting himself rather as “a whistleblower” acting against “the influencers”.
“As you see I’m free, everything is fine. Piracy is never over,” the rapper recounted in a video published on X (formerly Twitter) before his indictment was confirmed. “The interview took place satisfactorily, and Booba was able to confirm his desire to collaborate in court,” said the artist’s entourage.
In the wake of virulent tweets, Magali Berdah filed a first complaint, followed by dozens of others. Since May 2022, the latter has been the target of personal attacks online.

According to information from Le Parisien, Magali Berdah was taken into police custody last week in Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) on suspicion of financial embezzlement dating back to 2014 and 2015.
The National Center for the Fight against Online Hate (PNLH) of the Paris public prosecutor’s office has been carrying out investigations since June 2022. The rapper had already been summoned in this context, without showing up.
In addition to the investigation targeting Booba, 28 people will be tried before the Paris criminal court for aggravated cyberstalking, death threats or even threats of crime against Magali Berdah. The hearings will take place on November 27, December 11 and January 24.

These 28 defendants have “varied profiles”, underlined the public prosecutor at the time of their referral to justice. “Men and women, residing throughout France, with clean criminal records or already known to the police for violence and drugs. »
They are accused of messages such as “We’re going to burn you”, “Go die bitch”, “I’m going to rape you bitch” addressed to Magali Berdah on social networks.
The latter also filed a complaint in April against the social network X (formerly Twitter) for complicity in cyberharassment. A complaint still under study by the Paris prosecutor’s office.
The offense of cyberharassment was created by a law of 2018. It can be constituted when several people attacking the same victim know that their words or behavior characterize a repetition, without each of these people having acted repeated or concerted manner.
