Cinema Actor Christian Oliver dies in a plane crash in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Actor Christian Oliver, whose real name is Christian Klepster, is one of the four fatalities in a small plane accident that occurred on Thursday on the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, local media confirmed this Friday.

Born in Germany, but with American citizenship, he had an outstanding 15-year career, in which he acted in films such as ‘Speed ??Racer’, ‘The Good German’, or ‘Valkyrie’, and was a voice actor in others such as ‘Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny’, details the specialized page imdb.com.

Oliver was traveling with his daughters, Madita Klepser and Annik Klepser, ages 10 and 12, and pilot Robert Sachs, heading to the island of Saint Lucia.

The ship departed at around 12:00 p.m. (16:00 GMT) from James Mitchell Airport in Bequia – territory of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines – but minutes later it crashed one nautical mile west of Petit Nevis.

A video from a citizen posted on social media shows the moment the aircraft falls into the water. “The plane has crashed! Call the Coast Guard,” exclaims the person who recorded it.

For its part, the newspaper Searchlight, in Saint Vincent, reported that Sachs alerted the control tower at the local airport that he was having problems with the plane, so he wanted to return to the runway.

That was the last communication that the control tower had with the pilot.

The bodies were recovered by the St. Vincent Coast Guard. The cause of the accident is still unknown, while the Police investigate the event.
