Evelyn Burdecki: She has become "more careful" when dating

Evelyn Burdecki (33) will be looking for her dream man in “Pot sucht Burdecki” from the end of July – and hopes for great love again in a TV format. The blonde has already tried her dating luck as a candidate for the RTL dome shows “Take Me Out” and “Der Bachelor”. In the latter, she left after episode one, but her brief appearance earned her a “Celebrity Big Brother” participation. In 2018 she was looking for the right man by her side in “Bachelor in Paradise” and left the show with Domenico de Cicco (39). A few months later, the couple announced their separation.

Professionally, things went pretty well for Burdecki with a jungle camp victory, participation in “Let’s Dance” and a jury work on “Das Supertalent”, privately she remained single from 2018. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, she talks about her dating show experiences, her dream man ideas and her stuffy plans for the future.

Evelyn Burdecki: Back then, dating shows were fun and games for me. I was a few days younger! But now I have a clear goal: I want to fall in love! It doesn’t work in real life, so why not on TV?

Burdecki: That was great and that’s exactly what I liked about the format. The men were completely at ease and “Popf sucht Burdecki” has nothing to do with the other dating formats. This is about dating people like you and me.

Burdecki: Believe me, I was overwhelmed! But it was also really nice to get involved with the men. I was so curious, because it wasn’t just these sports freaks and self-promoters, it was real-life guys. I really enjoyed that, because they are still available everywhere! Many colorful facets of people are often not shown on TV. We made it a reality there.

Burdecki: I’ve been lucky in love before, but it just wasn’t enough for the next steps. I’ve even received a marriage proposal before. But love is very complex, you have to be in the right place at the right time and both sides have to want the same thing.

Burdecki: Definitely! I’ve become more careful. I used to be less knowledgeable about it, but of course I had nothing to do with television back then. Being in the public eye doesn’t make it any easier.

Burdecki: I’m a walking prejudice, but I don’t think that’s a bad thing. I am who I am and you have to accept me as I am. Otherwise I’m a very positive person. So if someone thinks I’m stupid or thinks I’m stupid, then I accept it and think my part. I had a lot of funny moments there!

Burdecki: I’ve learned that you shouldn’t undersell yourself. I’m a family man, I’m rather conservative when it comes to many issues in my life. And I want to keep that. Yes I’m blonde, yes I like cleavage, but am I still a walking cliché? I would say: No!

Burdecki: I like making the world how I like it. That also applies to my environment. It can be chaotic at times, but when it comes down to it, I take care of my loved ones. In addition, despite the chaos, I like to have everything under control – in my own way (laughs). And that can certainly drive one or the other insane.

Burdecki: Always preferred in real life. Online dating is not for me. I only mop the floor and not my phone!

Burdecki: I have a big dream: I would like to have a house in the country, animals and children are jumping around and friends are there. So actually quite stuffy!

Burdecki: It wasn’t that easy during Corona. I asked, that’s true, but the health requirements were enormous at the time. That’s why I postponed the project.

Burdecki: I don’t need anyone with washboard abs, they only eat protein and aren’t bon vivants. In the end, he loves his reflection above all else. That’s not me. I love to eat and I love life, whether I’m sitting at the bus stop with a doner kebab or maybe in a nice restaurant. That’s exactly what my partner has to appreciate and he doesn’t have to look like Adonis for that. He must have character and be honest. My demands aren’t that big.

The five episodes of “Popf sucht Burdecki – A celebrity to fall in love with” will run from Sunday, July 31 at 5:45 p.m. on Sat.1 and on Joyn.
