ANA All Nippon Airlines (NH) has unveiled an exciting expansion of its winter service routes for the 2024-2025 season, introducing new destinations in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. This move comes as part of the airline’s efforts to enhance its global network and cater to the growing demand for travel to key international destinations.

European Expansion:

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in Europe, ANA has announced the addition of three new routes to Milan (MXP), Stockholm (ARN), and Istanbul (IST) from Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND). These new routes are set to commence operations in the upcoming winter season, offering passengers more options for travel between Japan and Europe.

The HND to MXP route will kick off on December 3, 2024, with flights operating three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The return leg, NH208, will cater to passengers flying back from Milan to Tokyo. Similarly, the Haneda to Stockholm ARN route will start on January 31, 2025, with flights scheduled on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays as NH221/222. Finally, the HND to IST route will launch on February 12, 2025, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays as NH219/220.

The Istanbul route holds particular significance as it enables passengers to connect to various destinations served by Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines (TK). With TK boasting an extensive global network covering over 130 countries, travelers flying through Istanbul will have access to a wide array of connecting flights to their desired destinations.

Capacity Boost:

The introduction of these new European routes is expected to significantly boost ANA’s capacity by 144 percent compared to the previous year. This expansion underscores the airline’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for international travel and enhancing connectivity between Japan and key markets in Europe.

Currently, ANA serves nine European cities, including London, Paris, Vienna, Brussels, Munich, and Frankfurt. The addition of Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul to its network further solidifies the airline’s position as a leading player in the transcontinental travel market, offering passengers a diverse range of destinations to choose from.

Asia-Pacific Enhancements:

In addition to its European expansion, ANA will also be resuming flights between Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Perth (PER) starting October 14, 2024. The NRT-PER route will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays as NH881/882, providing travelers with convenient options for travel between Japan and Australia.

Furthermore, the airline will increase the frequency of its flights on the HND to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) route, which is also served by its low-cost carrier subsidiary, AirJapan. The additional seven weekly flights on this route, starting from January 9, 2025, reflect ANA’s response to the growing demand for travel between Tokyo and Bangkok, a popular destination for both business and leisure travelers.

Responding to increased demand, ANA will also introduce a temporary additional flight on the NRT to Hong Kong (HKG) route, operating on Saturdays only from January 18 to January 31, 2025. This move will increase the frequency of flights between Narita and Hong Kong to four times a week, providing passengers with more options for travel between Japan and Hong Kong.

As ANA continues to expand its network and enhance its services, passengers can look forward to more choices and convenient connections between Japan and key destinations in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. With a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence, the airline remains committed to providing a seamless and enjoyable travel experience for travelers from around the world.
