LAST DAY FOR $2 TICKETS

Today’s the last day to celebrate the 21st anniversary of the Irvine Park Railroad, which is rolling back its ticket prices to $2 each from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – the original 1996 prices. Entrance to the celebration is free; parking to get into the regional park is $5 on weekends. There will be free balloons, live entertainment and more. FREE LIBRARY

Interested in seeing the unforgettable Huntington Library and Gardens in San Marino without paying an admission fee? It’s free to visit every first Thursday of the month from 10:30-4:30, but you must order tickets a month in advance, on the first of the month, and they go fast. Order tickets for the April 6 free day on Wednesday, March 1, on the dot of 9 a.m. or you’ll be shut out. See a Gutenberg Bible, Pinky and Blue Boy paintings and gorgeous gardens. Want to learn more about your family? Take the free 7 p.m. beginning genealogy class taught by the Orange County Genealogical Society on March 6.
