Memoirs expected by the end of the year: Prince Harry's book is said to be finished and approved by his lawyers

The Duke of Sussex said of his planned book release that he wrote the lines “not as the prince I was born to be, but as the man I have become”. He also revealed that he wants to include “the ups and downs, the mistakes, the lessons learned” of his life in the book.

Reason enough that the words from Harry’s pen are eagerly awaited. While rumors have been rife that publication is slated for the Christmas season, a source confirms to British tabloid The Sun: “The manuscript is complete and has gone through all the legal processes. It’s out of Harry’s hands. “

Ghostwriter JR Moehringer, who is said to have worked for Prince Harry, has apparently finished the manuscript in recent weeks. Penguin Random House, which will publish the risqué book, is said to be aiming to get the book out in time for Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays.

In a statement last year, Penguin Random House told the media that the forthcoming book will be “an intimate and heartfelt memoir of one of the most fascinating and influential global figures of our time. For the first time ever, Prince Harry will offer an insight into the experiences adventures, losses and life lessons that shaped him.”

The memoir is said to begin thematically in the Prince’s childhood: “Prince Harry will cover his life in public from childhood to the present day, including his service to the military which took him twice to the front lines in Afghanistan. He will also share in the joy , whom he considers to be a husband and father. The book aims to be an honest and compelling personal portrait. It aims to show readers that behind everything they think they know there is an inspiring and courageous human story.”
