New Beatles song recreated using AI

Forty-three years after the death of John Lennon, the Beatles remain an iconic group. To satisfy its ever-increasing fans, the famous band from Liverpool will be releasing a new track, as announced by Paul McCartney. The latter explained that an artificial intelligence would be used to generate the voice of the late husband of Yoko Ono.

In an interview broadcast Tuesday by the BBC, the musician, who is about to celebrate his 81st birthday, explained that Lennon’s voice was taken from an old cassette and separated from the musical accompaniment to create this new song. “We came to do what will be the last Beatles recording, it was a demo of John that we worked from,” explained Paul McCartney.

“We just finished and it’s coming out this year,” he added. “We managed to take John’s voice and purify it using the AI ??to mix the recording,” he continued. In April 1970, six months after the release of Abbey Road and a month before Let It Be, the Beatles announced their separation. Their ten years together have produced fourteen best-selling albums, nearly a billion records sold and the shooting of several films.
