"Total crap": Elon Musk denies affair with wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin

Tesla boss Elon Musk has denied an alleged affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s wife. A previous report speculated that Musk could be the reason for the couple’s divorce.

In a tweet, Musk said the Wall Street Journal report was “total crap.” He added, “Sergey and I are friends and we went to a party together last night!” It was alleged in WSJ that Brin filed for divorce from his wife Nicole Shanahan in January after learning she was allegedly having an affair with Musk late last year.

Brin and Shanahan married in 2018 and the couple have a three-year-old daughter. According to media reports, the two officially separated on December 15, 2021. The divorce application allegedly referred to “irreconcilable differences”.

“I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with a lot of other people around me,” Musk continued on Twitter. It was “nothing romantic”. The tech billionaire also announced in another post: “Haven’t had sex in ages.”

Musk, who is currently considered the richest person in the world, keeps making headlines with his private life. At the beginning of July it was announced that he was said to have secretly become the father of twins in November 2021. This is said to emerge from court documents available to Business Insider. The children’s mother is said to be a woman who works as an executive for his company, Neuralink. After the report, the 51-year-old tweeted: “I’m doing my best to fight the underpopulation crisis.” It goes on to say: “A collapsing birth rate is by far the greatest threat to civilization.”

With the twins, Elon Musk is a father of nine: he has five children with his first wife, the Canadian writer Justine Musk, to whom he was married from 2000 to 2008. The couple’s firstborn child died in infancy. With singer Grimes, Musk has daughter Exa Dark Sideræl, who was born in December 2021 to a surrogate mother, and son X Æ A-Xii.
