Up to 38 degrees: Friday could be hottest day of the year

The Friday is likely to be, according to the German weather service (DWD), the so far hottest day of the year in Germany. Especially on the Rhine and its tributaries, the forecasters expect up to 38 degrees. The previous record of 34.9 degrees would be cracked loose.

This was on last Tuesday, the 28. July, near Passau in Eastern Bavaria established. Already at 10.00 a.m. peak were on Friday morning in Öhringen, however, already values of 27.0 degrees and in niederstetten of 27.5 degrees (both Baden-Württemberg) is measured, as a DWD meteorologist in Offenbach said.

Also, for the Saturday, meteorologists sultry expect hot 31 to 36 degrees. Not quite as hot as on Friday it’ll probably be no more, said the weather expert.
