Mystery driver sought following school bus incident: Brunswick Police Blotter

BRUNSWICK — Traffic offense, Kimmich Drive: A Brunswick City Schools bus driver reported that a driver illegally passed his bus at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 27 while the bus driver was letting students off the bus just south of the intersection of Kimmich Drive and Pearl Road. The driver said the bus’s red lights were activated and the bus was stopped when a silver Nissan Rogue driven by a man with grey hair approached from the south and passed the bus without stopping. The driver and his aid provided police a license plate number, which was registered to a maroon Nissan Murano, not matching the vehicle or driver description given by the witnesses.

Disorderly conduct, Pearl Road: Police questioned a man seen behind Advance Auto Parts at 7:02 p.m. Feb. 27 and found him urinating on the building. He was cited for disorderly conduct and released. Disorderly conduct, Hadcock Road: Police responded to a fight in the area of Hadcock Road and Miner Drive at 2:28 a.m. Feb. 26. The man and woman involved in the fight were seen driving away from the scene when police arrived. They were stopped and each cited for disorderly conduct after admitted to being involved in the fight.

Drunken driver, Center Road: Police were called to a crash at the intersection of Center Road and Lincoln Avenue at 10:28 p.m. Feb. 22. During the investigation, the driver admitted to “consuming a couple alcoholic beverages” and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated after performing poorly on field sobriety tests. He later registered more than twice the legal limit on a breath test. He was later released to a sober person.
