An Israeli tourist accused of attacking the former head of an Australian rugby team in a fight over a girl at a celeb-studded nightclub copped to a plea deal Thursday.
Daniel Yakubov agreed to serve five days community service in exchange for admitting to smashing Richard Vandenberg, 39, in the face with a glass outside Greenwich Village’s Catch Roof in June 2016.
The 31-year-old “animal lover” will now spend the time volunteering at Queens-based animal Rescue “Bobbi and The Strays” after Timebet dodging possible prison time on felony assault charges for the incident.
After Yakubov completes the service, the charges will be dismissed and expunged, his attorney Meir Moza said — adding prosecutors offered the plea after he produced evidence proving Vandenberg started the fight.
No one else involved in the tussle was charged.
Yakubov is also considering civil action against the rugby players, his attorney Ruben Davidoff said.
Vandenberg was formerly the captain of the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League, before his 2007 retirement.
Club Catch Roof is known hangout for celebs, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Nick Jonas and Naomi Campbell.
