Waving with his hand and with a smile on his face, but without uttering a single word or rolling down the window. This was the first appearance of Don Juan Carlos this Wednesday after stepping on Spanish soil. He was leaving Vigo airport in the car of his friend and host Pedro Campos heading to Sanxenxo, where he will spend the whole weekend haggling with El Bribón.

Everything indicates that this first image has been a preview of the mood that this visit is expected to have, marked by a low profile with which he aspires to normalize his trips and be able to do them more regularly.

The former head of state’s airport landed at Vigo’s Peinador airport at 2:00 p.m. directly from Abu Dhabi and, after a seven-hour journey, Pedro Campos was waiting for him at the foot of the runway, accompanied by his wife, Cristina Franze.

His host had been waiting for him at the aerodrome for some time and, after an affectionate greeting, they both got into their Volvo to head home. Ten minutes later, they left Vigo without lowering the window.

During this stay of the monarch, it is not expected that he will have any public act, he will limit himself to going out to train and compete in the regatta of the V Circuit of the Spanish League of the Class 6M scheduled between Friday 28 and Sunday 30 and to have private meetings with his closest friends, all of them in the house where he is staying.
