Ginni Thomas is the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and says that she attended the January 6 rally in front of Capitol assault

This occurred before a mob made up of supporters of former President Donald Trump descended upon the Capitol and disrupted the joint session.

In an interview, Thomas stated to the Washington Free Beacon that she was at the Ellipse in January 6th but she left when she became cold. She returned home just in time for the former president’s address.

Trump made repeated baseless claims about the 2020 election, claiming that voter fraud was rampant. He urged the crowd to march to the Capitol to protest the outcome.

Thomas, a conservative publication, stated that he was disappointed and frustrated by the violence that occurred following a peaceful gathering on the Ellipse of Trump supporters on Jan. 6. “There are legitimate and important substantive questions regarding achieving goals such as electoral integrity, racial equity, and political accountability that a democratic society like ours must be able discuss and debate rationally within the political square. It is a danger that we are losing this ability.

The New York Times reported that Thomas was a “peacekeeper” between rally organizer factions. However, she denied that claim and other claims involving her role in the rally.

She told the Free Beacon that she had no involvement in the planning or leading of the January 6 events. There are reports in the media that I paid for or arranged for buses. I didn’t. Other stories claim that I interacted with feuding leaders at the time. I didn’t.”

In recent months, Thomas’ support for Trump and his conservative activism have come under scrutiny. This was especially true when the former president requested the Supreme Court to step in in a dispute between Thomas and the House select Committee investigating the attack on the Capitol on January 6.

The justices denied Trump’s request to block the National Archives and Records Administration turning over reams White House documents. However, Clarence Thomas was the only member to not disagree.

Thomas, who is a political consultant firm, has defended her work in politics before the Free Beacon. She also sought to dispel concerns about her husband’s court work.

She said, “Like many married couples, our ideals, principles and aspirations for America are many in common.” “But we each have our own careers and our own ideas. Clarence does not discuss his work with him, and I do not involve him in mine.”

Thomas said that her husband is the “legal lane”. She explained to the Free Beacon that the couple doesn’t discuss cases until their opinions are made public.

The justices make the decision on whether to withdraw from a case because of conflicts of interest. However, judicial groups call for greater transparency and accountability regarding conflicts and recuses.

The President Biden’s Commission on the Supreme Court examined possible reforms to the nation’s highest court and noted in its final Report that requiring justices explain why they are resigning “could increase transparency” and provide guidance for other justices.

President George H.W. Bush appointed Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court. Clarence Thomas (73), has been a member of the Supreme Court since 1991. He is one of its most conservative members.
