Gracie Abrams has finally released her viral single “Close to You” after seven years of anticipation from fans. The song, which was first teased in a 20-second snippet on Instagram in 2017, will be featured on her upcoming studio album, The Secret of Us, set to be released on June 21.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of “Close to You” after the unreleased demo went viral on TikTok, with over 11,000 videos using the audio. Many fans expressed their desire for the full version of the song, and Abrams listened to their pleas by including it as a bonus track on her new album.

The track was produced by Sam de Jong, marking a reunion between the two artists who previously worked together on “Stay” and “Minor.” Abrams expressed her gratitude towards de Jong and Electric Lady Studios for their collaboration on the song.
