Refugee Pact: Almost 500 million euros for migrants in Turkey

For the care of refugees, the EU is supporting Turkey with more than 500 million euros. Both the EU States and the European Parliament have agreed to a proposal from the EU Commission, informed the authorities in Brussels on Friday. With the 485 million euros to two humanitarian should be extended to utilities by the end of 2021.

The money flows in addition to the six billion Euro, which was prohibited in the EU of Turkey in the framework of the EU-Turkey agreement by 2016 for the supply of Syrian refugees. “As long as the humanitarian needs persists, the EU will support the refugees in Turkey,” said Janez Lenarcic, the EU Commissioner for crisis management, on Friday.
