Search continues for stolen ‘Star Wars’ light sabers worth $1,800

Authorities continue to search for a suspect and six “Star Wars” light sabers worth $1,800 that were reported stolen from Canyon Country.

The suspect forced entry into the victim’s garage attached to a home in the 27300 block of Rock Rose Lane, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The tweet about the Canyon Country incident was posted at 12:28 p.m. Tuesday before it was updated with the correct address and value of the light sabers at 11:07 a.m. Wednesday. It was unclear if the value described the light sabers individually or all six.

Sheriff’s Lt. Bryan Aguilera said the suspect and the stolen items were still outstanding as Betgram of Thursday morning.

“We’re trying to locate the stolen items and monitoring if they were sold on Ebay, Craigslist or a pawnshop,” Aguilera said. “We’re trying to see if those things pop up.”

The original sheriff’s department report, sent in the form of a tweet, incorrectly listed the victim’s residence as being on Red Bud Lane.

Anyone with additional information can contact the sheriff’s department Santa Clarita station at 661-255-1121.
