Trump has been accusing the election of fraud.

It has been more than three weeks since the voting in the US general election ended. President Trump has fallen behind his Democratic opponent Biden, but has yet to admit defeat. However, he said on Thursday (26th) that if the Electoral College meets on the 14th next month to vote for Biden, he will leave the White House.

Reuters reported that this is Trump’s closest speech to admit defeat since voting day. According to reports, Biden currently has 306 electoral votes, ahead of Trump’s 232. Biden’s votes have exceeded the threshold of 270 electoral votes.

Trump has been accusing the election of fraud, criticizing the injustice caused by mailed votes, and once said that if he only counts the so-called legitimate votes, he will win the election. The campaign team has filed lawsuits in many places, but has so far been unable to overturn the results.

The inauguration ceremony of the US President will be held on January 20 next year.
