Zotac Unveils Impressive Zone Handheld Gaming PC at Gamescom

Zotac has entered the handheld gaming PC market with its latest model, the Zone, showcasing significant improvements over competitor models like Valve’s Steam Deck. The Zone features a 7-inch OLED touch display with 1920 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 hertz, promising high contrasts and good HDR display.

Powered by AMD’s Ryzen 7 8840U mobile processor with eight Zen 4 cores and a fast integrated graphics unit, the Zone offers 16 to 24 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD. The handheld comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Home and boasts a dedicated software launcher for easy game access and customization.

With features like a kickstand, adjustable trigger depth, Hall-effect technology for joysticks and trigger buttons, and two USB4 ports for connectivity, the Zone offers a versatile gaming experience. Zotac plans to launch the handheld in August at Gamescom with a price tag of 800 euros, along with a docking station option for additional functionality.
