The struggle between the Popular Party and Vox that could lead the Region of Murcia to an electoral repetition is over. The popular candidate, winner of the 28M elections, Fernando López Miras, has closed an agreement with Vox, which will give him the two votes he needs for the investiture in exchange for being part of the new Executive.
Specifically, those of Abascal will direct the Ministry of Security, Interior and Emergencies, with the rank of vice-presidency, and that of Public Works. In addition, they will propose the president of the Transparency Council, an office that will assume the functions of the Murcian Ombudsman, according to a statement made public by the two formations. The pact was outlined after the offer of López Miras to Vox this Friday to form part of his Government. This step, which he had resisted, is the result of the talks, described as “cordial” by Vox, that the leaders of the two parties began.
