England’s own Herbie Farnworth has made it into the NRL’s 2024 Players’ Dream Team as announced by the Rugby League Players’ Association (RLPA). This special team is comprised of the top 13 players in their respective positions, as well as an ‘impact player’, all chosen through votes from NRL players who want to recognize the outstanding performances of their peers throughout the season.

Farnworth, a center for the Dolphins, has secured his place in the player-voted dream team for the second year in a row after a stellar season where he scored eight tries in 20 appearances. In his NRL career spanning 99 games, he has an impressive total of 42 tries under his belt.

The RLPA’s Players’ Dream Team was established in 2017, and Farnworth joins a select group of English players who have been honored in previous years, including Sam Burgess, Gareth Widdop, and John Bateman. Notably, the Penrith Panthers, the reigning NRL champions, have the second-highest number of players in the 2024 Dream Team, with four players making the cut.

In addition to Farnworth, there are six other players who are making their debut in the Players’ Dream Team this year. Among them are Dylan Edwards, Zac Lomax, Jarome Luai, Jahrome Hughes, Mitchell Barnett, and Eli Katoa. The ‘Impact Player’ for 2024 is Terrell May from the Sydney Roosters, recognized for his contributions coming off the bench for his team.
