Aberdeen will be facing St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park on Monday, August 5, to kick off the William Hill Scottish Premiership season. The match will also be a night to honor Geoff Brown, who has made significant contributions to the club. Geoff will be named Life President of St Johnstone, and the Main Stand at McDiarmid Park will be renamed the Geoff Brown Stand. The club and Scottish football officials will commemorate his achievements, and supporters are encouraged to arrive early to pack out the stadium.

Ticket information for the match indicates that it is now a restricted sales fixture due to Aberdeen selling out their away allocation. Only season ticket holders and those with a qualifying purchase history will be able to purchase tickets for the home end. There will be no cash turnstiles or matchday sales from the ticket office on the night. Fans are reminded that all tickets purchased for home areas of the ground must be intended for Saints fans only to avoid revocation of purchasing privileges.

In their last match, St Johnstone secured a 5-1 win against East Fife, qualifying for the last 16 of the competition. Adama Sidibeh, Benji Kimpioka, and Makenzie Kirk were among the goal scorers. On the other hand, Aberdeen had a 6-0 victory over Dumbarton, with goals coming from various players like Jack MacKenzie, Ester Sokler, and Peter Ambrose.

For those unable to attend the match in person, it will be broadcast live on SaintsTV for international subscribers and on Sky Sports. The match programme, featuring interviews and club features, will be available for purchase inside the turnstiles and at the club shop for £3.50.

Fans looking to socialize before the game can visit the Muirton Suite under the Main Stand from 5:30pm, exclusively for home supporters. The Junior Saints Zone will not be open on Monday evening, but memberships for the upcoming season will be available online soon.

Saints Fans Supporting Foodbanks (SFSF) will be present before the match to support Perth and Kinross Foodbank and Saints in the Community. Donations will be accepted at the corner of the East and Ormond Stand from 6:15pm to 7:25pm, with the option to drop off donations at the club shop if unable to attend the game.
