Controversy, trainer and bodybuilder Alfredo Martín, known as Villano Fitness, dies

This Tuesday the news that had been circulating on social media since yesterday was confirmed: Alfredo Martín has died at the age of 40.

Vera Schroeder, the bodybuilder’s partner and trainer, has made it clear with a message: “What happened is true, it was yesterday.” Along with those words, she asked for “discretion and maximum respect for a few weeks.”

Martín, known in the world of bodybuilding as ‘Villano Fitness’ and, on social networks, as ‘Héroe Fitness’, had sparked controversy for his work method, in which he used chemical substances to improve development.

The causes of his death have not been revealed and the media that have reported the news and several Instagram or X accounts – formerly Twitter – simply comment that it occurred suddenly.

In one of his stories, Martín related “I have testicular atrophy, alopecia, cholesterol, I have heart and kidney checks because it is harmful to them and I know that I have a risk of heart attack… But hey, I’m healthy.” In those videos he admitted that he had been using steroids since he was 25 years old.

The YouTuber Jordi Wild has spoken out about what happened, since he was able to get to know him better thanks to one of his interviews: “He was aware that he was taking a risk with his lifestyle. I don’t know what happened to him, but it was because of him. substance use (which maybe not), this gives reason to reflect on the normalization of the use of anabolics in recent years, but now simply my condolences to the family.
