Cubs’ Jason Heyward, Javier Baez to face Cleveland

There’s no need to get excited Sunday when the Chicago Cubs play host to the Cleveland Indians in a rematch of 2016 World Series teams.

First, it’s only an exhibition game.

Second, due to Saturday’s split-squad games, only two Cubs regulars will start against the Indians.

Jason Heyward will shift from right field to designated hitter as he continues work with his modified swing. Javier Baez will bat second, presumably to get as many as three at-bats.

Jeimer Candelario, a third baseman by trade, will get the start at first base.

Here’s the Cubs’ lineup:

Baez 2b

Candelario 1b
