On October 19, 2024, in Denmark, Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour and Mount St John Freestyle won the opening leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2024/2025 in the Western European League. They delivered a stunning performance, capturing the hearts of the Danish crowd with an impressive score of 88.965% in the Freestyle. Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Vayron secured second place, while Maria von Essen from Sweden finished third with Invoice.

Laudrup-Dufour expressed her delight with Freestyle’s performance, highlighting how the horse felt incredible from the warm-up. She emphasized the personal significance of her routine, stating that every song and movement holds meaning for her. The Danish rider’s technical prowess and dedication to challenging herself were evident in her flawless performance.

Teammate Daniel Bachmann Andersen also shone with Vayron, expressing how the horse had more focus and confidence in the Freestyle. Maria von Essen’s exceptional ride on Invoice showcased the bond she shares with her horse, leading to a well-deserved podium finish.

The judging panel unanimously praised Laudrup-Dufour and Bachmann Andersen for their remarkable performances, highlighting the intense competition throughout the event. German rider Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock and Danish rider Lone Bang Zindorff also delivered strong performances, securing fourth and fifth place, respectively.
