From "You're fat" to a sex symbol: Shaquille O'Neal reveals his weight loss tips

He recently weighed around 200 kilos – then Shaquille O’Neal thrilled the fans with his six-pack. His weight “just dropped,” says the former basketball star. How does he manage to lose 20 kilos in a short period of time? He reveals that now.

Former basketball star Shaquille O’Neal has lost around 40 pounds. By his 51st birthday on March 6, he even wants to lose another ten kilos, he revealed in an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”. With a special diet and training plan, the weight “simply fell off”. Most importantly, he made changes to his lifestyle.

“A friend called me and said, ‘You’re fat,’ and she gave me the name of a guy who did some blood tests,” the retired athlete recalled. He gave him clear dos and don’ts, encouraged him to eat more vegetables and classified his iron level as too low.

“When I started changing those things, the weight tumbled,” the 50-year-old continued. “It’s all about eating right.” He used to not be a “salad eater,” but now he takes supplements, drinks shakes, and avoids sodas. Even bread should disappear from his menu. “I think I could get the Marky Wahlberg look. I want to be known as the black Mark Wahlberg,” said the ex-basketball pro, referring to the US actor, who starred as Marky before his film career in the early ’90s Mark and underwear model for Calvin Klein.

Shaq is well on his way to that. After all, two months ago he revealed to the Youtuber Logan Paul on “Impaulsive” that he had lost around 200 kilos to 182.5 kilos. Sports analyst Charles Barkley, also an ex-NBA player, inspired him to create another “retirement body,” O’Neal said. Now he wants to become “a sex symbol,” said the 50-year-old at the time.

His Instagram followers were also smitten and incredulous when he featured himself shirtless in a video back in September. With so much motivation, losing ten kilos shouldn’t be a problem for the giant.
